Arlington Voters Approve $105.78 Million for School Bonds

Arlington voters approved this year’s $105.78 million dollar school bond measure on Tue, Nov. 4. Approximately 75 percent of voters supported the bond, which will be dedicated to adding seats for elementary and secondary capacity as enrollment continues to steadily increase. Help Shape the Future of Our Schools

The Superintendent made a brief presentation to the School Board on Nov. 18 regarding the options that are being recommended to the Board for increasing secondary seats capacity. The School Board has scheduled a public hearing on the secondary seats options on December 3 and plans to vote on a final plan on December 18. Winter weather is making news headlines, as significant snowfall has occurred in some regions of the country recently. Although we have been fortunate not to see any of that weather in this region, forecasters are calling for above average snowfall this winter. We encourage families to start preparing a plan for possible school delays and closures if snow, ice, and wintry weather occur. School Bond The School Board recognized this year’s Bond co-chairs, Martha Foster and Greg Greeley. Board members expressed their appreciation to the co-chairs for their efforts to encourage community support of the school bond, which received 75 percent voter approval in the recent election.
