For the majority of students who attend VPI at Carlin Springs, it is their first time in a school setting of any kind. It is very important that I ensure my students have a fun and meaningful first school experience. They need to be provided with numerous and varied opportunities to increase their oral language abilities and gain important knowledge and skills. It is essential they learn through large and small group lessons as well as through play and being able to work with their peers. We love to learn by doing, moving, singing, talking, getting messy and reading!
