Students in Ms. Sotomayor's biology class took a trip to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. They had a chance to explore the different exhibits and complete an assignment in the hall of human origins as a complement to their current unit of study. A few lucky students from the group were invited backstage to meet a Smithsonian entomologist and had the chance to ask questions and view the private insect research collection!
Craig was one of five IB Biology students who attended the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium at Georgetown University. In this seminar, called Fear Factor, Craig was blindfolded and had a tarantula crawl on his hand.
