science fairMany students need to make banners for their science fair projects. Here are some directions to help you make a banner using MS Publisher!
Note:  you will need to save your document on a flash drive (you can't upload Publisher to Google Docs).
There are many online resources that you can get to from the Jefferson Library pages that will help you do well with your schoolwork.
Research Databases - Here are links to online encyclopedias and databases of articles. These are subscription databases that you have access to because APS or the Library of Virginia paid for Arlington students to use them. You can use most of these from school and from home (see someone in the Library for information about how to access these databases from home).

Class Projects - When your teachers have suggested Internet links for you to use on a class project and they plan with Ms. Wall, we can create a page for your research project to make it easy for you to access those links.
Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) - There is some great information here you can use to help you with writing and with research--including bibliography style guides.

TAB Club - Learn more about Jefferson's TAB Club. You can also find previous year's TABPicks, meeting dates, and more. This year we will be making podcasts of some of our book reviews so everyone will be able to get ideas of some good things to read.

Library Podcasts - We want everyone recommending books. Ms. Wall hopes that some classes will also contribute some podcasts so we can develop our own collection of student booktalks to help you decide what to read next.
Bullying can be a problem in schools.  Here are some links that can help with handling bullies.

USA.gov - Looking for government information?  Start here for federal, state, and local government web sites and documents.  "[It's] a mind-boggling array of information from A (airline complaints) to Z (zip codes)."
