School Lunch Hero Day is a national celebration founded by Jarrett Krosoczka , creator of the Lunch Lady graphic novel series. The day was created to give kids to the opportunity to show their appreciation for all of their cafeteria workers, who often receive little or no recognition or are even sometimes maligned in popular culture. The celebration is a great reminder that everyone in the school building needs to work together to nourish growing bodies and minds. Swanson will celebrate the day on May 6. Please stop by the Library to write a thank you note to Swanson's cafeteria staff and find out how you can get involved.
