Students will be called down to the small gym by team during mods 1-3 to take their picture if desired. Make sure to dress your best!
Swanson eighth graders were in excellent form once again for the oratorical contest on Wednesday evening. The Arlington Chapter of Optimist International sponsored this regional competition.Alexandra Burnham and Peter Fleckenstein won this level and both will move on to the zone competition on Saturday, May 2nd! Second place went to Lily Pilkerton and Gus Nathanson. Third place went to Konika Akter and Greg Roberts. Congratulations to all of our participants. We are so proud of you!
Nine Swanson students will perform in the All Virginia Chorus concert this weekend: Camille Beck (8), Casey Bloome (6), Joel Brown (6), Andrew Chapman (7), Rafaela Crespo (6), Will Fineman (8), Rylei Porter (6), Greg Roberts (8) and Noah Troppe (6).

Well another swim season is in the books. After a tough county meet against the other APS middle schools, Swanson took 2nd place. Great job to all swimmers who participated in the meet yesterday! Thomas Outlaw and Kayle Park broke Swanson and county records yesterday. Thomas broke the boys 25 yard Butterfly record for the county and broke his own Swanson record in that event and he broke the boys 50 yard Backstroke record. Kayle Park broke the girls 25 yard and 50 yard Breaststroke Swanson/county records. Way to go Swanson Swimming!
