Hey Swanson! Spirit Week is coming November 17th, and we need to know what you guys want to do! Each day, we typically dress up to show our spirit. Voting is now live, so pick your favorite ideas for Spirit Week. The link to the ballot can be found on Blackboard in the Homework folder. Voting closes on Wednesday, November 5th, so cast your vote!
Swanson Cabaret Student Director candidates should see Mrs. Klontz during STAR or at lunch to pick up questions to answer and return to her by tomorrow morning.

Callbacks for some of the speaking parts will be held after school today in the auditorium. The list of students needed is posted on the chorus room door, drama room bulletin board and in the cafeteria.
There will be a Yorktown Girls Lacrosse Interest Meeting next Thursday (November 6th) at 3:30pm in Patriot Hall at Yorktown High School. All those interested in trying out should attend as we will be discussing important off-season information at the meeting.
Reminder: The Girls Leadership Conference is THIS SATURDAY, November 1st at Washington-Lee High School from 8:00am to 3:00pm. If you are taking the bus, please arrive at Swanson by 7:30am or Barrett Elementary by 7:40am. Please see Ms. Reardon in the counseling office if you have any questions!
The next PTA meeting is Tuesday, November 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the library. Please note: the November 4 meeting will go on as planned, even though there is no school that day for students. The topic is Online Security and School Resource Officer Kevin Treakle and Librarian Tamara Metz will be speaking about Internet safety. Halloween is Friday! If you plan on dressing up, make sure that you follow these simple rules. No fake weapons, masks, or messy substances like fake blood. Costumes should still conform to the dress code, and you may be asked by a teacher to remove your costume if it is a distraction in class.
