Project Family is a free early childhood education and parenting program for speakers of other languages as well as English-speaking Arlington residents. Beginning in December 2011, Project Family will hold an early childhood class in the Hoffman-Boston Community Room every Thursday morning from 10:30 a.m. -12:00.
Parents/caregivers and children from ages one to five are welcome to join in these interactive classes. Families are not required to have an older child attending Hoffman-Boston in order to attend.
Project Family focuses on the whole child and teaches parents activities to promote the child’s physical, language, cognitive, and social-emotional development, emphasizing the importance of routines and learning through play. Classes are culturally sensitive, provide support and networking opportunities, and familiarize parents with best practices related to child development, health, safety and nutrition.
Project Family exists in partnership with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council #4606.
