We ENCOURAGE parents to come in before or after school to checkout books to read with your children at home. We have books in Spanish and English.

Our Mission at Barcroft Elementary Library:

Barcroft students visit the library to enjoy stories and book discussions, learn how to find and use information, and borrow materials on a regular basis. The library staff and teachers work as a team to ensure that all students develop a love of literature and the information skills to enrich their lives.

Information Skills Instruction:

At each grade level students participate in systematic instruction in the use of print and on-line resources. Students use ACORN, the Arlington County On-line Resource Network, to conduct in-depth research. ACORN is available on any networked school computer and from students' home computers. Additional websites relating to classroom/library research projects are linked temporarily on the library website. (see links to the left of this page).

PARENTS:  please visit us at the library before or after school to check out books or read with your children.
Library open 8:30-8:50
and 3:40-4:00.
