Hi, I’m Kristie Kirk. I was born and raised as a beach baby of Long Beach Island, New Jersey. I attended Rutgers University of New Jersey and received my bachelors in Liberal Arts in 2011. In 2012, I graduated from Rutger’s Graduate School of Education with my Masters in Elementary Education with a special certification in Literacy/Language Arts. In the summer of 2012, I moved to Arlington, VA. I have been a teacher at Barrett ever since and I love it! Some of my favorite activities include dancing, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with my family. We're the "Kirk Kangaroos" and we're going to have an outstanding school year!
Hello! My name is Nichi (Nikki) Lewis. I have been teaching at Barrett since 2011 and I love it! I was born in California, but am part of a military family so I've been all over. My mother is from the beautiful country of Chile, which I have the opportunity of visiting in the past. I received a Bachelor in Arts (Theater and Opera) from George Mason University. I also received my Masters in Elementary Education Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. I live in Alexandria with my bunny, Kevin, who I will bring into our class a few times this year. I love to travel, watch plays and musicals, sing, and taste new foods (especially spicy foods!). I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
