Hi. My name is Connie Quinzio. I am a third grade teacher at Barrett. I started at Barrett in 1997. Before coming to Barrett I taught at an international school in La Paz, Bolivia. At Barrett I taught second grade for eight years before teaching third grade. I received my degree from George Mason University and my graduate courses at University of Virginia. I enjoy walking every morning before coming to school. I have a daughter and two sons.
My name is Teresa Nagle and I began my teaching career in 1979 in New Jersey. I have experience teaching grades Pre- K through 6th grade in schools throughout the U.S.and in Sicily, Italy. I came to Barrett in 1994 as a first grade teacher, moved to second grade and I am currently teaching third grade. My undergraduate degree is in Early Childhood Education, and my Masters degree is in Elementary Education. I enjoy reading and traveling in my free time. I am married and have two grown daughters.
My name is Deborah Chu. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor's in American Studies and a Master's in Elementary Education in 2009. After graduating I spent a year teaching English in Taiwan through the Fulbright program. Upon returning to Virginia I taught ESOL at a junior high school in Woodbridge, VA before joining the Barrett ESOL/HILT team in 2011. I enjoy reading, taking pictures, eating, cooking, exploring DC, and running with students on Fridays with the Barrett Runners Club. I'm excited to continue working with Barrett students as a 3rd grade teacher. I am also looking forward to a great year teaching and learning with Barrett students!
Hi, my name is Natalie Rigert. My wonderful husband, Jake, and I moved to Arlington in April from the Chicago suburbs. Originally, I am from Bettendorf, Iowa. I attended the University of Iowa - go Hawks! I majored in elementary education with specializations in literacy and couldn’t wait to begin teaching. I was a substitute teacher in Iowa for a year and a half where I was able to experience and appreciate ALL grade levels. Afterwards, I moved to Naperville, Illinois where I taught kindergarten for two years. This past year I taught first grade. I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, and hiking. I am thrilled to be part of the third grade team here at Barrett! This will be an exciting year filled with learning, adventure, and fun!
