Alternate Reporting System

For the past several years, Campbell has utilized an alternate reporting method called “Work Sampling.” While this method is/was consistent with the school culture and beliefs, that system no longer meets our technological or instructional requirements. A committee comprised of parents, administrators, and teachers has been meeting regularly since November to review other methods of collecting data and reporting student progress. The committee is in the process of developing an alternate report card that would be technologically supported by Arlington Public Schools, rather than an outside contractor. The alternate report card will reflect the beliefs of the school community. A student portfolio and student led conferences will be important parts of the model for the 2013-2014 school year as well. Student led conferences are consistent with the EL model. More information will be added in the winter/spring of 2013.
