Project Family’s goal is to help preschool children (age 0-5) develop school readiness knowledge and skills, and to provide free parenting skills instruction for Arlington non-native English and English speaking parents/caregivers of 0-5 year old children.
Instructors use the Project Family curriculum and assess children on meeting age-appropriate developmental milestones in seven domains. They also assess parents/caregivers on parenting objectives. Assessments are compiled into a yearly program evaluation which is used to inform instruction.
Parents with young children who are not in a preschool program are encouraged to attend Project Family classes.
Project Family classes are held in Campbell's multipurpose room on Thursdays 8:30-10:00. The Project Family instructors at Campbell Elementary School are: Cecilia Herrera, Aida Raygada, and Maria Eugenia Wells.
