I grew-up in Clearwater, Florida and studied Sociology and social work at the University of Florida. After working with children in the non-profit sector, I realized that I wanted to become a teacher. I worked at Key School as a VPI assistant for two years as I worked toward licensure. I am currently pursuing a master of education degree at the University of Virginia and I love working at Claremont. I also enjoy reading, hiking, swimming, visiting my family, and spending time with friends.

Growing up in a military family, I had the privilege to live in many areas of the United States and also lived abroad. My family and I moved here to the northern Virginia area as I was completing high school. I received my bachelor’s degree in Special Education and my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, both from the University of Florida. Upon returning to Northern Virginia I began my teaching career in the Loudoun County Public School system where I taught kindergarten, second grade, and third grade. I also received a masters certificate and my license in Educational Leadership from Shenandoah University. I am overwhelmed with excitement about starting this new adventure here at Claremont Immersion School! I am eager to get to know the children and families of Claremont as we learn together.
