  • Meader Mr. Richard Meader

My name is Richard Meader, and this is my fourth year in the classroom. I was a student of history for nearly eight years before I decided to become a teacher. I earned a bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master's degree from the University of Toledo in Ohio. Along the way, I discovered that I love to watch people learn. What better place than a school to be an active participant of students' learning? I work hard to ensure that every child learns because they are our future. My hope is that I empower children to make changes in their world for the better.

  • telesca Ms. Maria Telesca Maria

Since elementary school, I always knew that I wanted to become a teacher. The teaching profession allows me do what I love most: helping children learn new things and discover their interests and talents. I have an undergraduate degree in the humanities from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and a graduate degree in teaching and learning from DePaul University in Chicago. Before moving back to Northern Virginia where I grew up, I taught in the Illinois area for ten years. Some of my favorite things to do other than teaching are gardening, traveling, swimming, and reading.

  • Westerman Mrs. Alyssa Westerman

I am a graduate of Roanoke College and have had the privilege to teach grades K-4 in public and private schools. I enjoy providing a positive avenue for children to express themselves and grow as confident learners. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
