VPI

Four-Year-Old Preschool APS and the Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI)

The VPI program is for children who are 4-years-old on or before September 30 and who qualify to receive free and reduced lunch. The program will run on the school schedule, Monday through Friday.

Registration

Registration form submitted between February 1 and April 16 along with an application for Free and Reduced Lunch. A lottery will be conducted if there are more applications than available spaces.

Eligibility Requirements

Child must be 4 years of age on or before September 30
Child must reside in the school's attendance area
Child must meet income eligibility requirements (2007 VPI Income Eligibility Application
To be eligible family income must be below $77,001
16 kids in a classroom

Transportation

Children who live within the attendance zone of the school can ride the bus.
