Deaf Hard of Hearing

Welcome to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Program!

The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program at Patrick Henry is designed for students with hearing loss
or deafness that require a specialized language rich program.

The program serves students 2 years old through 5th grade.

The goal of the program is to improve the language and communication skills of its students
and provide them with full access to the general education curriculum.
Multiple modalities (sign language, spoken English, and/or visual aids)
are used to meet the needs of every child.

Students receive instruction from a teacher of the deaf and are supported
by a speech-language pathologist and educational audiologist.
