I came to the United States from the Philippines 13 years ago to take my Montessori training at the Washington Montessori Institute in Washington, DC. Working with young children is challenging, fun and a constant learning experience. When I am not teaching, I enjoy taking photographs, reading, listening to music, watching movies, swimming, spending time with my 9-year-old daughter and enjoying my husband's cooking!
Ever since I taught as an assistant in a Montessori class when I was in High School and saw the magic of the moment when a child learns a new idea, I wanted to be a Montessori teacher. After that, I went to CatholicUniversity for a BA in Education and Spanish and then finished my M.Ed. at Loyola in Montessori. When I am at home, I enjoy being outside with my boys and my dogs.
