The Orff Ensemble is a group of 16 fifth graders who have been meeting to rehearse with Dr. Larco every Tuesday. They are playing and singing very well!

El Grupo Orff es un grupo de 16 estudiantes que se reúnen todos los martes para ensayar con la Dra. Larco. Están tocando y cantando muy bien.

Welcome to the Fourth Grade Orff Ensemble!

This school year, all Fourth Grade students will have the opportunity to join the Orff Ensemble. An ensemble letter and contract will be sent home with all Fourth Graders on September 20. This form must be returned by September 23.

The Orff Ensemble plays xylophones, metalophones, glockenspiels, marimbas, as well as other forms of percussion instruments.

The group will have a maximum of 25 members. If more than 25 students return a signed form, we will use a lottery system to choose our participants.

The group will meet on Wednesdays after school in Ms. Brown's room from 2:40-3:40pm. Students will meet and rehearse new songs for our Winter and Spring Concerts.

Welcome to the Fourth Grade Trash Band!

This school year, all Fourth Grade students will have the opportunity to join the Trash Band. An ensemble letter and contract will be sent home with all Fourth Graders on September 20. This form must be returned by September 23.

The Trash Band will play found objects as if they are instruments. Students will work together to compose their own songs using buckets, pots and pans, suitcases, as well as other materials. Additionally, students will create their own instruments out of wood, tape, and other resources.
