Mark your calendars for this Saturday, May 5 from 2 - 5 PM for the first annual Yorktown Chili Cook Off and Spring Sale benefiting the Yorktown Bands. Yorktown musicians, as well as musicians from local elementary schools (including Tuckahoe's own choir!) will perform throughout the event. Come join us for an afternoon filled with fun, moon bounce, music, food, flea market treasures, arts and crafts, silent auction, and flowers.
Chili Cook Off in the Yorktown Cafeteria: Students and adults are eligible to enter the Chili Cook Off. Yorktown's Principal, Dr. Pasi, Yorktown's Band Director, Mr. Bersh, and Yorktown Band Instructor, J.D. Slaughter, will judge chili starting at 2 p.m. and will determine the "Best Chili in Yorktown." In addition, the "People's Choice Award" will be awarded to the chili with the most tickets at the end of the day. FAQs and Registration Form are located on the Yorktown Band website, yorktownband.org. Chili, Baked Goods, and Drinks will be available for purchase.
Spring Sale: The Spring Sale will be outdoors between the cafeteria and the bus loop. Craftspeople, artisans, neighbors, and parents can reserve a spot in to sell yard sale treasures, antiques, collectibles, jewelry, you name it. FAQs and Registration Form are located on the Yorktown Band website, yorktownband.org.
