Dear Parents and Families,
We are working on fact fluency (being able to say and write the answer to a math fact quickly). Each Friday the students are taking fact fluency quizzes which progress in difficulty. Students must get all of the questions correct before they go to the next level. We are also playing fact fluency games in class to help build the strategies students need to answer their facts quickly.
However, we NEED your help for students to become fluent in their math facts. Students need to practice their addition and subtraction flashcards as part of their nightly homework routine. If you do not have flashcards at home we are happy to resend the ones we gave out at parent teacher conferences.
