Request for Clothes. My office is running low on a couple of items. If you happen to be cleaning out closets, I'd be happy to take any of the following: shorts for boys/girls (no short-shorts please), sizes 5-14; boys underwear, Small/Medium/Large; girls underwear, Large; girls pants/leggings, sizes 5-10.

Occoquan Bay Event. Occoquan Bay is a beautiful place to hike and observe nature. If you have not visited a wildlife refuge yet this school year, and even if you have, you may be interested in the following event. Thanks for participating in Barrett's Wildlife Refuges and Nature project this school year: 11th Annual Youth Fishing Event at Occoquan Bay, National Wildlife Refuge, Dawson Beach Road, Woodbridge, VA, Saturday, May 12, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For children ages 5-12. Free. Call 703-490-4979 to register. Catch and release only (bait provided). Hotdogs, drinks, and snacks provided by donation for adults; free for children fishing. Some loaner gear available. Pets prohibited on refuge. Rain or shine! Entrance fee will be waived.
The Outdoor Lab provides hands-on outdoor environmental education opportunities to learn about animals, science, outdoor skills, arts, and humanities in a natural setting, including over 200 acres of forests, fields and hills, a spring-fed stream, a pond, and nature hiking trails.
Directions: The lab is roughly 35 miles and takes approximately 45 minutes. It is west of Arlington, just a few miles off I-66. Take I-66 West about 26 miles to Exit 40–Haymarket. At the traffic light at the top of the exit ramp turn left onto Route 15 South. At the 2nd traffic light turn right onto Route 55 West. After about 3.5 miles turn left onto Beverly's Mill Rd. (Route 600). After 1.4 miles turn right into the new driveway—look for a sign that says "Outdoor Lab." Parking is free. No pets please. http://www.outdoorlab.org.
