  • The Supporting Your Whole Child Conference

    Parents of high school students are invited to attend the Supporting Your Whole Child Conference on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Washington-Lee High School. The conference aims to honor the whole child through the integration of the child's intellectual, physical, social and emotional well being.

  • W-L Wins Washington Area Bicyclists' Choice Award
    Washington-Lee has been chosen as the Bike Friendliest School in the 2015 Washington Area Bicyclists' Choice Awards. W-L tied with DC's School Without Walls for this honor. The awards are sponsored by the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and were announced on Friday, February 20th. For more information see the organization's blog.

  • APS Fine Arts Apprentice Program 
    The Fine Arts Apprentice Program provides specialized experiences beyond the regular art, music and drama curriculum for selected high school students (rising 10th, 11th,or 12th graders). Opportunities for students may include ensemble works, master classes, attendance at professional rehearsals and performances, museum courses, small group instruction, seminars, exhibit and performance opportunities.
    Applications for the 2015-16 school year will be due on Tuesday, March 24, 2015

    There will be a Virtual Information Night for the 2015-16 Fine Arts Apprentice Program: a presentation will be uploaded to the Fine Arts webpage (http://www.apsva.us/Page/1722) on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.     Are you interested in showcasing your son or daughter in the 2015 yearbook? The Blue and Gray yearbook team is now offering an easy solution - student ads! This year, the process is online and much easier. Parents: simply go to www.jostensadservice.com, log-in using your Jostens account number, then customize pictures and a special message that will be printed in the yearbook. We are offering a variety of size and price options this year, and you can pay with a credit card. You can purchase a 2015 W-L yearbook online too at www.jostensyearbooks.com. The price is currently at $83 and will continue to increase throughout the year. Don't delay!

  • APS ParentVue
    Families can now access student schedules, class attendance, grades, and report cards through ParentVue and the Family Access Center. You can reach the Family Access Center through W-L's Site Shortcuts, the W-L Parents tab, or the APS website Parents tab. Click here to link to a brief instruction guide on some of ParentVue's functions.
    Information about ParentVue was mailed home in August. To create an account and log into ParentVUE, you need a valid email address and the Activation Code provided in the letter that was sent to you. Then follow the steps in the letter to register and set up your password. If you did not receive a letter or misplaced your Activation Code, you can email W-L's registrar at debbie.germosen@apsva.us.
