    Latin students Cassia Block, Amanda Oh, Julia Windham, Katie Windham, and Fiona Miller joined more than 130 other students from APS in attending the State Latin Convention in Richmond.

    Seniors Craig Wanda and Sterling Webster were selected to the Virginia Honors Choir. They had a chance to practice and perform with students from across the state at the VMEA Conference at the Homestead.

  • W-L Band Finds Success at Spring Break Competition
     
    The W-L symphonic band, Jazz Bands and Percussion Ensemble won numerous awards at its band competition in Tennessee. They included:

    High school Grand Champions--over all best bands
    Overall Champions--Symphonic B and Jazz Big Band
    Symphonic Band--division 5 winner-superior rating
    Percussion Ensemble--1st place superior rating
    Jazz Big Band--1st place Superior rating
    Jazz Lab--1st place excellent rating
    Outstanding section awards--Brass, Woodwinds and Rhythm

    Outstanding Solos:
    Tenor sax --Alex DeLazzari
    Trumpet--Caeley Niess
    Alto Sax--Ahad Shahid

  • APS ParentVue
     
    Families can now access student schedules, class attendance, grades, and report cards through ParentVue and the Family Access Center. You can reach the Family Access Center through W-L's Site Shortcuts, the W-L Parents tab, or the APS website Parents tab. Click here to link to a brief instruction guide on some of ParentVue's functions.
     
    Information about ParentVue was mailed home in August. To create an account and log into ParentVUE, you need a valid email address and the Activation Code provided in the letter that was sent to you. Then follow the steps in the letter to register and set up your password. If you did not receive a letter or misplaced your Activation Code, you can email W-L's registrar at debbie.germosen@apsva.us.
