29 APS Teachers Earned or Renewed Their National Board Certification

NEW NBCT logoArlington Public Schools announces that 29 teachers earned or renewed their National Board Certification. National Board Certification is the most respected professional certification available in education and provides numerous benefits to teachers, students, and schools. It was designed to develop, retain, and recognize accomplished teachers and to generate ongoing improvement in schools nationwide.

National Board Certification is the gold standard of teaching certification. Arlington Public Schools recognizes National Board Certification as part of the Career Advancement Program and supports those voluntarily working toward this highly accomplished endeavor. The Office of Professional Learning facilitates the five levels of APS support that align with the five-pointed gold star representative of the gold standard of teaching. Currently, there are over 200 NBCTs in APS.
