Free and Reduced-Price Meal Information and Applications

Applying for free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program can make a big difference for families in need. The application process is quick and simple, and all information is kept confidential. Qualifying families can save hundreds of dollars each year in meal costs. This helps alleviate financial stress so parents can focus their limited resources on other essentials. The program also promotes a stronger sense of community, so no child feels singled out.

Students who received free or reduced-price meals last year will continue to receive benefits until Fri, Oct. 13, without a new meal application. After this date, parents or guardians must complete a new application for meal benefits to continue for this school year. Students attending CEP schools do not need to complete application meals are provided at no cost at those locations. Applications can be completed online at www.myschoolapps.com. Paper applications are available to print at  https://www.apsva.us/food-and-nutrition-services/. If you need assistance completing an application, please visit the food service office at 2110 Washington Blvd. or call 703-228-8000.
