Oakridge’s 3rd Annual Military Fun Run

The positive power of the Oakridge school community was evident during their 3rd Annual Military Fun Run! Oakridge is so privileged to have many military families in the school community. Oakridge family volunteers represented all branches of military service at the event, a very special Oakridge tradition where active-duty members or veterans in the community lead warm-up exercises with classes before they run, lead exercises at stations on the course, and cheer students on as they participate. This is a special opportunity for Military Strong Kids to show off their families and military pride.

Thank you, Joe Papola, Joe Dougherty, and Shannon Cohn (PE Teachers), for planning such a wonderful event. Also, thank you to the many volunteers who made the event run smoothly!
