Dear Families,
I hope that you all had a good long weekend and that you and your students are ready for the final weeks of the school year. They have been working so hard, and several grade levels will complete their end-of-year assessments next week. Here is information about when families can view individual student assessment results and other reminders:
Results for Year-End Assessments and Final Progress Reports: Students are engaging in Standards of Learning (SOL) and other year-end testing through June 7. Once all grade levels have completed the assessments, results are typically uploaded to ParentVUE within two weeks. Individual student results will be posted in ParentVUE the week of June 24, and parents will be notified when they are available via ParentSquare. Additionally, final progress reports for the 2023-24 school year will be available on June 14 for elementary students and on June 24 for middle and high school students.
Upcoming Dates in June: June is Pride Month, and APS will be celebrating our LGBTQIA+ community to support students and staff and honor our diverse community. In addition, as we approach the end of the year, here are our graduation and promotion ceremony schedules and links to view the ceremonies. We will be providing a livestream for the high school graduations.
Other June calendar reminders:
- June 5 – Elementary Early Release for Students
- June 10-12 – High School Early Release
- June 12 – Last Day of High School + Elementary Early Release
- June 14 – Last Day of Elementary and Middle School – Early Release
Year-End Safety Reminders: During year-end celebrations and graduations, we want to ensure all our students celebrate safely. View tips for parents/guardians to help protect your teens by providing safe, alcohol-free celebrations.
Thank you for all you have done this year and for being a partner in your student’s education.
Sincerely,
Dr. Francisco Durán
Superintendent
